Jameela du Plessis
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jameela du Plessis is a multidisciplinary leader with over two decades of experience spanning corporate HR, IR/LR (industrial and labour relations), strategic workplace mediation, divorce & family mediation, mental health, pastoral counselling, and play therapy. As the Founder of MINDSHIFTERS, she brings a unique blend of boardroom credibility, spiritual discernment, and therapeutic depth—empowering individuals, couples, families, and organizations to renew their minds, restore relationships, and pursue purpose-driven transformation. She is also the Founder and Senior Pastor of Mindshifters Ministries, a Commissioner of Oaths, and a Guest Lecturer.
Her career includes senior roles such as Global Head of HR/Chief HR Officer, Principal Coach and Counsellor, Accredited Mediator, TV Journalist, Guest Lecturer and People Manager in leading multinational firms. Jameela's approach is deeply rooted in biblical truth, sound psychological principles, and her own lived experience—enabling her to serve with empathy, clarity, and conviction. Whether supporting executives, ministry leaders, individuals, couples, families, or grassroots communities, she is known for cultivating safe, faith-aligned spaces where real and lasting change can take root.
Jameela is fluent in English and Afrikaans, and has some basic proficiency in isiXhosa and Arabic, allowing her to connect with diverse communities in both personal and professional settings.

Kobedi Sechele is a seasoned, well-rounded legal and alternative dispute resolution specialist with over two decades of experience across both public service (national, provincial, and local) and private practice. He holds B.Proc and LLB degrees from the University of the North (now Limpopo), along with Civil Mediation and Practice Management Certificates from the Law Society's Legal Education and Development (LEAD), and training in Applied Psychology for Mediators and Role Play through Solid Ground. He also completed several postgraduate courses at Master's level at the University of Pretoria—covering Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Drafting of Contracts, Specific Contracts, and Company Law.
His career has included roles as an attorney, notary, conveyancer, legal advisor, lecturer, and director of his own law firm. Although no longer a practising attorney, Kobedi brings deep expertise in civil, real estate, commercial, labour, and family law. He has served a diverse client base that includes government departments across all tiers, municipalities, and private enterprises.
His extensive experience is further supported by certifications in Civil Mediation, Divorce and Family Mediation, Applied Psychology for Mediators, and Workplace Disciplinary Enquiries. With hands-on involvement in land reform, valuation, and property development, Kobedi has successfully led numerous large-scale legal and development initiatives.
Kobedi is known for his leadership and client-centred approach. He currently offers services in legal advisory, workplace mediation, civil and commercial mediation, and family conflict resolution. He is proficient in English, Setswana, Sepedi, and Sesotho, and understands Zulu, Seswati, Venda, and Xitsonga.
Dr Lydia Dekker is a highly experienced Specialist Wellness Counsellor registered with the ASCHP, with over two decades of counselling expertise grounded in both psychological theory and sociological insight. Her academic background, combined with rich life experience, allows her to connect deeply with individuals navigating complex personal, emotional, and relational challenges.
Dr Lydia is dedicated to creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for clients from diverse cultural, religious, and identity backgrounds. She adopts a client-oriented approach—shaping each session to meet the unique needs, goals, and context of the individual. Her work is especially focused on helping clients uncover and address the root causes of mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and self-harming thoughts, rather than merely treating surface-level issues.
Her practice also includes trauma-informed counselling for individuals processing both recent and historical traumatic events. Dr Lydia's calm and empathetic presence fosters a sense of trust and safety, empowering clients to explore difficult experiences and make meaningful, lasting change.
She offers flexible counselling options, including virtual sessions for clients across South Africa and abroad, as well as face-to-face appointments at her practice in Durban. Dr Lydia is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Dr. Princess Thembile Ngidi is a compassionate counsellor and seasoned educator with over 25 years of experience in the field of education. Registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE), she brings a unique blend of academic depth, psychological insight, and real-world empathy to her work.
With a strong foundation in both education and psychology, Dr. Ngidi offers trauma-informed, client-centred counselling that is shaped by a deep understanding of emotional healing, communication, and personal transformation. Her counselling interests rest in:
- Trauma Recovery – Supporting clients in processing both recent and historical trauma through compassionate, evidence-based interventions.
- Relationship Therapy – Helping couples and families navigate conflict, improve communication, and strengthen connection during transitions such as marriage, separation, or blended family integration.
- Educational Psychology – Equipping learners, educators, and parents with strategies to enhance emotional well-being, academic resilience, and psychosocial development in school settings.
Dr. Ngidi also has extensive experience in Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET), where she has empowered adult learners—many from previously disadvantaged backgrounds—with foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and life orientation. Her work in ABET reflects her deep commitment to lifelong learning, social upliftment, and educational accessibility.
This multidisciplinary background enables her to respond holistically to the interconnected nature of personal, familial, and professional challenges. Whether addressing scholastic stress, workplace stress, family dynamics, or learner support, her approach is rooted in empathy, cultural awareness, and practical wisdom.
Known for her warm presence, attentive listening, and grounded counsel, she creates a safe and affirming environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey toward growth and healing.
Fluent in English and isiZulu, Dr. Ngidi ensures accessible and culturally sensitive care to diverse clients.
Siphesihle Xulu is a compassionate and well-rounded mental health professional who offers culturally sensitive, ethical, and client-centred counselling support. He creates a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to navigate life challenges, build emotional resilience, and develop practical coping strategies.
With a strong background in community mental health and experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic contexts, Siphesihle takes a holistic and solution-focused approach. As a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), his counselling style draws on psychoeducation, grounding techniques, and short-term interventions tailored to support clients dealing with trauma, adjustment issues, emotional distress, and everyday stressors.
Siphesihle is particularly passionate about improving access to mental health support in underserved communities. He has facilitated school-based programmes, public workshops, and community outreach campaigns that promote mental health literacy and reduce stigma.
His previous service in the South African National Defence Force has shaped his strong values of discipline, leadership, and service—qualities that now inform his professional practice. Clients appreciate his calm, empathetic presence and his ability to connect across age groups and cultural backgrounds.
Siphesihle provides both individual and community-based counselling services and is fluent in English, Spanish, isiZulu, and Setswana.
Siphokazi Luzipho is a highly experienced Human Resources professional with over 15 years of strategic and operational HR experience across multiple industries including logistics, sales, government, and heritage. She holds a National Diploma in Human Resources Management from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and has completed numerous specialised short courses in Employment Equity, Conflict Management, Labour Law, Skills Development, and HR Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Siphokazi has served in key HR roles for organisations such as Medicus Shoes, Unilever Field Sales, CAT Logistics, and the South African Heritage Resources Agency. Her expertise spans recruitment and selection, industrial relations, employment equity implementation, training and development, payroll administration, and organisational policy design. She also has experience representing employers at the CCMA and advising line managers on disciplinary processes.
In addition to her HR work, Siphokazi is a board member of the Eastern Cape Child and Youth Centre, where she provides ongoing HR support and strategic guidance. She is a dedicated member of the Port Elizabeth HR Forum and is passionate about supporting inclusive, people-first workplaces. Her services include strategic HR consulting, workplace co-mediation, policy and compliance advisory, and employee wellness programme facilitation. Siphokazi is proficient in English and isiXhosa.
Jumah Junain Mohammed is a self-taught, internationally acclaimed Ballroom and Latin dance champion, wellness coach, and accredited financial advisor. Raised in Schauderville, he overcame adversity to rise through the ranks of competitive dance—without any formal training. His story is one of extraordinary determination, resilience, and humility.
In 2025, Jumah made history at the World Artistic Dance Federation (WADF) World Championships in Poland, winning multiple titles including World Champion in Paso Doble. He also holds Protea Colours for Latin dancing, and has been crowned both All-Africa and European Champion. Despite his global recognition, Jumah remains deeply connected to his roots and continues to inspire others from under-resourced communities to pursue their dreams.
Through his coaching studio, Saint Ballroom, Jumah offers dance fitness and wellness programmes that fuse discipline, movement, and emotional expression to promote holistic well-being. In addition to his work in the arts, he is also a licensed Financial Advisor (FSCA: FSP 46090), offering guidance to individuals and families in building sustainable financial health.
Jumah's journey has been featured on television, radio, and in print media, not just for his accolades—but for the story of perseverance, purpose, and passion that defines him. Jumah is proficient in English and Afrikaans.
Esau Mudau is a seasoned pastor, pastoral counsellor, licensed marriage officer, and community mediator with over two decades of ministry and counselling experience. Esau has dedicated his life to guiding individuals, couples, and communities toward spiritual healing, reconciliation, and holistic growth.
With 24 years of experience as a registered marriage officer, Esau has officiated countless unions with integrity, compassion, and biblical grounding. He also specialises in pastoral counselling and community co-mediation, using a faith-based, people-centered approach to resolve conflict and promote unity. His ministry at Victory Bible Church and mediation work are deeply rooted in practical wisdom, emotional intelligence, and a strong spiritual foundation.
Esau continues to serve as a trusted voice in his community—bringing peace where there is tension, clarity where there is confusion, and hope where there is despair. He is proficient in English, Venda, and Tswana.
