OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Bible – Our Final Authority
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation for all truth, the guide for righteous living, and the cornerstone of every teaching and counselling session at Mindshifters.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." – 2 Timothy 3:16–17
God – One God, Three Persons
We believe in one eternal God who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in divinity, distinct in function. He is Creator, Sustainer, Judge, and Redeemer, sovereign over all life and history.
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one." – Deuteronomy 6:4
Jesus Christ – Our Saviour and King
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He alone is the way to eternal life and the only mediator between God and humanity.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." – John 14:6
The Holy Spirit – Our Empowerer and Guide
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, sanctifying, teaching, guiding, and empowering us to live a Christlike life. We embrace the gifts and fruit of the Spirit and welcome His presence in all our ministry work.
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses." – Acts 1:8
Salvation – By Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is a free gift of God, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by good works. Through repentance and faith, we are forgiven, born again, and adopted into God's family.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." – Ephesians 2:8–9
Humanity – Created with Purpose
We believe every person is created in God's image, uniquely designed with dignity, value, and purpose. Though marred by sin, we can be restored through Christ to live a life of identity, calling, and God-given destiny.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you… plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11
Marriage and Family – God's Design for Wholeness
We believe that marriage is a sacred, God-ordained covenant between one man and one woman. It reflects the love Christ has for His Church and is the foundation for strong families and healthy societies.
"Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." – Mark 10:9
The Church – The Body of Christ
We believe the Church is the living body of Christ on earth, called to worship God, disciple believers, serve the world, and proclaim the Gospel. At Mindshifters, we aim to equip every believer for effective Kingdom impact.
"Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." – Matthew 28:19–20
Eternal Life – Heaven and Judgment
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and eternal life in either heaven or hell. Those who trust in Christ will spend eternity with God; those who reject Him face eternal separation. The urgency of the Gospel compels us to preach truth in love.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…" – John 3:16
Why This Matters
This Statement of Faith is not merely a declaration—it is the spiritual foundation of everything we do. From counselling sessions to outreach events, from retreats to online teachings, every effort at Mindshifters Ministries is carried out in faith, with the intent to glorify God and point people to Jesus.
